Karen Bishop is a second-year graduate fellow in Objects Conservation in the Patricia H. and Richard E. Garman Art Conservation Department at the State University of New York College at Buffalo. Last summer, Karen was the Isobel Rutherford graduate objects conservation intern at the Cleveland Museum of Art. She received a B.A. in Anthropology and a minor in Art History from Western Washington University in Bellingham, Washington. Karen was a pre-program intern at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art and a research assistant at Watts Towers National Historic Site. She worked as a conservation technician for Fine Arts Conservation and Silverlake Conservation, both private conservation practices in Los Angeles. This fall, she will be completing her third-year internship at The Metropolitan Museum of Art.
