Colleen Snyder received her B.A. in Mediterranean Archaeology from the University at Buffalo and went on to complete her M.A. in Art Conservation from Buffalo State College in 2008. Colleen is currently an Assistant Conservator of Objects at the Cleveland Museum of Art, where she has spent the past three years helping to prepare hundreds of objects for reinstallation in the new galleries, including Ancient American, Medieval, Renaissance, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and Southeast Asian artworks. She has previously worked at the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation, the Walters Art Museum in Baltimore, and the J. Paul Getty Museum. Colleen specializes in archaeological conservation and has participated in excavations in the U.S. and abroad including The Archaeological Exploration of Sardis in Turkey and, this past summer, The Rutgers University Archaeological Field School in Italy. Colleen is particularly interested in studying applied color on ancient art.
