Cori Olinghouse is an interdisciplinary artist, archivist, and curator. Since 2009, she has served as Archive Director for the Trisha Brown Dance Company, a company she danced for from 2002-2006. Olinghouse is currently developing a series of artist archivist projects that explore the transmission of improvisation and performance practices in a space between documentation and embodiment. Recently, she was a panelist in the Museum of Modern Art’s (MoMA) Storytelling in the Archives forum (2015), alongside Boris Charmatz and Marvin Taylor. This summer, she joined the 2017 Oral History Summer Seminar, Memory, Visuality, and Mobility through Columbia University and the European Research Council Project Bodies Across Borders: Oral and Visual memory in Europe and Beyond. She holds an M.A. from Wesleyan University in Performance Curation from the Institute for Curatorial Practice in Performance, and was recognized with an Outstanding Thesis award for her Mapping the Unruly: Imagining a Methodology for the Archiving of Performance (2017).
