Dr. Alessra Rosado is a professor at the UFMG School of Fine Arts. She has a PhD in Art from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG), a MA in Visual Arts from UFMG (2005), a certificate in the Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Properties (CECOR) from the School of Fine Arts / UFMG (2002), a certificate in painting with ancient technique from the Palazzo Spinelli (Istituto per l'Art and Restoration, Florence, Italy, 1997), and BA in history from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (1997). She has experience in the art and conservation science with an emphasis on preventive conservation, restoration, materials analysis and artistic techniques, working mainly in the following subjects: history of technical art, archaeometry, cedar mining colonial sculpture, art (materials, techniques, state of conservation) risk management and analysis for conservation of collections, conservation and restoration of collections, inventory of movable and integrated goods and heritage education. She is a researcher at the Conservation Science Laboratory at the School of Fine Arts at UFMG (LACICOR) and is affiliated with ANTECIPA and ICOM.
