Anikó Bezur received a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Arizona. As a doctoral candidate, she completed internships at the Arizona State Museum's Conservation Laboratory, the Smithsonian Institution's Museum Conservation Institute, and the Getty Conservation Institute's Museum Services Laboratory. Following her appointment at the Art Conservation Department at Buffalo State College as a lecturer and then assistant professor of conservation science, she held the position of Associate Conservation Scientist at the Art Institute. From 2008 to 2012 she was the first research scientist to serve the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston and The Menil Collection, thanks to the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation. Since May 2012 she has directed the Technical Studies Laboratory at Yale's Institute for the Preservation of Cultural Heritage.
