Anna Krekeler

Anna Krekeler was trained as a paintings conservator at the University of Fine Arts in Dresden, Germany. Since her graduation in 2007, she has been working in the Rijksmuseum’s Painting Conservation Studio. Her main research interest is in the techniques and materials of artists. She published a comparative study of a series of portraits by J. C. Verspronck and on the interpretation of MA-XRF scanning results of paintings by Goya and Rembrandt. She contributed to the essay on the experimental painting technique of Rembrandt in the catalogue of the London/Amsterdam Late Rembrandt exhibition in 2015.
