The Menil Collection Conservation Coordinator

Sarah Thompson is the Conservation Coordinator at the Menil Collection where she assists conservators with the treatment of collection objects and coordinates conservation projects across the museum’s campus. She initiated the conservation department's efforts to implement workflows around the acquisition, documentation and preservation of time-based media art and currently assists in the maintenance and treatment of site-specific installations by Dan Flavin and Max Neuhaus. Sarah holds a BA in Anthropology from the University of North Texas and has recently completed additional coursework in chemistry, art history and computer science.
