Nora Frankel is an Andrew W. Mellon Fellow in Textile Conservation at the Smithsonian Institution’s National Museum of the American Indian. Past work includes positions at the Rijksmuseum, Burrell Collection, Death Valley National Park, Petrie Museum of Egyptian Archaeology, and the Southwest Museum of the American Indian. Textile passions are natural dyes and fibers, spinning, weaving, embroidery, and knitting. She is a graduate of the MPhil programme in Textile Conservation at the University of Glasgow Centre for Textile Conservation (2016) and holds an MA in Principles of Conservation from University College London Institute of Archaeology (2014).
