Kelsey Monahan is a Program Specialist in the Office of Museum Services at the Institute of Museum and Library Services. In addition to assisting with all museum discretionary grant programs at IMLS, she works closely with the Native American/Native Hawaiian Museum Services Program and with Collections Stewardship projects. Previously she has worked in collections and management positions for institutions such as the Smithsonian National Museum of American History, the Smithsonian National Postal Museum, and the United States Bicycling Hall of Fame. Her interests include preventive conservation, collections management, and American history. Kelsey holds a B.A. in Anthropology from San Francisco State University and an M.A. in Museum Studies from George Washington University.
