From 2015-2017, Davina Kuh Jakobi served as the Junior Conservator for Ship and Scale Models at the Rijksmuseum, working primarily with the ship models in the Marinemodellenkamer (Navy model room) collection. Prior to this, Davina Kuh Jakobi has undertaken numerous conservation internships and placements in a variety of disciplines around the world, including the National Maritime Museum in Greenwich, where she developed her affinity for ship model conservation and research. She attended the University College London for her graduate studies in conservation, where she trained as an object conservator at the Institute of Archaeology, obtaining a Master of Science in Conservation for Archaeology and Museums with merit in 2014 and a Master of Arts in Principles of Conservation with merit in 2012. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Delaware in 2009 with a double major in Art Conservation and Art History and a minor in Art. Davina is currently an assistant co-ordinator for the ICOM Theory and History of Conservation group. Her research interests include the conservation of ship models, social history collections, interdisciplinary collaboration, and professional educational outreach.
