Anna Javér is a textile conservator and since the year 2000 responsible for the National Museums of World Culture’s textile collection. I am a technical engineer and have an University Certificate in Textile and Clothing Technology. She trained at the Textile Conservation Centre and the Courtauld Institute of Art in 1997. I worked at the Norweigan Folk Museum in Oslo for three years. Now I am at the National Museum of World Culture were I make our Collections available for students, visitors and researchers through exhibitions, loans and visits to the collection. I works closely with the collection of 2000-year old textiles from the Paracas peninsula in Peru, with a long-term project to understand their degradation and condition and of their restitution to Peru.
