Alice Carver-Kubik is a Research Scientist at Image Permanence Institute. Her research focus is on collection storage environments and the mechanical behavior of library and archive materials. She received her M.A. in Photographic Preservation and Collections Management from Ryerson University in co-ordination with the George Eastman Museum. She was a 2008-2009 Graduate Intern at the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C. where she co-authored the book "In the Darkroom: An Illustrated Guide to Photographic Processes Before the Digital Age (2010)." She joined IPI to further develop the web resource, Graphics Atlas. She is currently offering a series of webinars and workshops on photographic process identification.
