This fall Tamia Anaya will join the class of 2020 at the Buffalo State Conservation Program. Tamia currently holds a fellowship at the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden conducting microfade analysis on modern collage materials. Her previous experience includes internships at several New York conservation labs, such as the Museum of Modern Art, Metropolitan Museum of Art, and the Brooklyn Museum. Her particular interests extend to include the treatment of works on paper as well as preventive conservation. Tamia's scholarship is defined by her interests to facilitate or support cross-cultural relationships between local and international conservation groups and to serve as an advocate on behalf of conservation globally, through collaborations with disenfranchised communities seeking to protect their art.
