Mary Jablonski is the president and founder of Jablonski Building Conservation, Inc. She has over 26 years' experience in many aspects of historic conservation. Mary is involved with almost all projects. This helps to insure that a consistent methodology is applied across projects and also as a way to maintain quality control of the delivered work.
Mary has special interests in finishes, early 1800s frame buildings, and modern materials including plastics. She is a Fellow of the American Institute for Conservation of Historic & Artistic Works (AIC). Also, she is an adjunct associate professor in the Historic Preservation Program in the Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation at Columbia University since 2002. Mary frequently delivers papers on conservation topics including stone deterioration, conserving glass sculptures, paint and finishes analysis, research on types of paint, mid-century fiberglass construction, cemetery restoration, and the practice of conservation. She has published articles on fiberglass, glass, finishes, and decorative interiors.
