Jack McConchie
Tate Time-based media Conservator
London, United Kingdom
Jack McConchie is a Time-based media conservator at Tate, responsible for installing works across all four Tate sites, as well as developing collection care and acquisition strategies. He graduated from the University of Glasgow in 2004 with a degree in Electronics and Music, before going on to perform as a musician and operate a recording studio in Glasgow. He began to work with artists, collaborating on ideas and developing bespoke technical solutions and strategies for complex interactive and multi channel works, and overseeing their installation both nationally and internationally. The future iterations of these works became a natural concern, which led to him joining the conservation department at Tate in 2013.
