Giovanna Tamà is a paintings conservator at IPARC (International Platform for Art Research and Conservation). She obtained a MA in conservation of easel paintings from the Antwerp Royal Academy of Fine Arts. In 2013 she acquired a postgraduate internship at the Royal Institute for Cultural Heritage in Brussels where she took part in different restoration projects including seventeen 16th century paintings from Frans Pourbus the Elder and focused on the restoration and technical analysis of a ‘Selfportrait’ of the Belgian painter, Constant Permeke. She continued her development of conservation practice at the Royal Museum of Fine Arts in Antwerp , SRAL (Limburg Conservation Institute), Maastricht and Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam.
