Emily Farek is a third year fellow in the Winterthur/University of Delaware Program in Art Conservation where she majors in paper conservation with a minor in library and archive materials. She will graduate in 2019. Emily graduated from Emory University in 2014 with a BA in Art History and a minor in Italian. Her pre-program experience began at the Carlos Museum at Emory University, practicing objects conservation and public engagement. She later interned at the American Academy in Rome and participated in the FAIC workshop at Ossabaw Island, GA, then went on to paper conservation internships with Elizabeth Kaiser Schulte and the Georgia Archives. Emily’s first graduate summer internship was spent at the Conservation Center of Art and Historic Artifacts in Philadelphia (CCAHA), and her second focused on the scientific analysis of historic wallpapers at the Materials Analysis Lab at Colonial Williamsburg. Emily is currently completing her third year internship at the Harry Ransom Center at the University of Texas in Austin.
