Carolyn Leckie is a graduate from the Queen University Art Conservation program. Carolyn worked at the Carnegie Museum of Natural History, the Canadian Conservation Institute, and the Denver Museum of Nature and Science before joining the Canadian Museum of Nature 10 years ago. She now as a conservator at the Canadian Museum of Nature. At the Canadian Museum of Nature, Carolyn works with a team to ensure the preservation of the museum’s 14 million natural history specimens, as well as its archives, library and art collections. She manages a preventive conservation program which includes integrated pest management and environmental monitoring; staff and volunteer training; risk assessment and planning for collections storage and the use of specimens for exhibits and programming.
