Alison Castaneda holds a M.A. in Fashion and Textile Studies from the Fashion Institute of Technology. She is an associate member of the American Institute of Conservation and is the author of multiple posters and presentations, involving synthetic leather, an Islamic talismanic shirt, and the Winnie-the-Pooh toys. She has interned at the New York Historical Society and the Textile Conservation Laboratory at St. John the Divine. From 2010-2017 she worked at the Textile Conservation Workshop in South Salem, NY and is currently completing a Kress Conservation Fellowship at The Textile Museum in Washington, D.C. In July she will be joining the Museum at FIT as Associate Conservator.
