Lia Kramer is a graduate student at the Institute of Fine Arts’ Conservation Center at New York University pursuing an MS in the Conservation of Historic and Artistic Works and an MA in the History of Art and Archaeology. She will specialize in the conservation of modern and contemporary art and time-based media. During her time at the conservation center she has interned with conservator Joanna Phillips as a part of the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum's Conserving Computer-Based Art Initiative and worked with Small Data Industries to complete a survey of digital materials in the collection of the Cooper Hewitt Smithsonian Design Museum. She is completing her fourth year of study as an intern with the Tate time-based media conservation department. Lia earned her BFA in Drawing and Painting from Georgia State University with additional studies in art history and chemistry.
