Amanda earned her MA in Conservation at SUNY Buffalo State College. Before attending graduate school, she worked as a conservation technician at the UCLA Library Conservation Center and the Academy of Motion Pictures Margaret Herrick Library, both in Los Angeles. She earned a BA in Art History from Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington, in addition to a Certificate in Art Conservation from Studios Art Centers International in Florence, Italy. Amanda split her third-year internship in book conservation between the Leiden University Library in the Netherlands, and the UCLA Libraries.
