Kerith Koss Schrager is an objects conservator and Head of Conservation at the National September 11 Memorial & Museum. Kerith specializes in occupational health and safety for cultural heritage workers and completed an M.S. in Environmental Health Sciences through the Division of Environmental Medicine at NYU Langone Health in 2022.

Prior to her current position, she was the owner of The Found Object Art Conservation, LLC providing conservation and preservation services for museums, galleries, and private collectors. Kerith was a Postgraduate Fellow in the Conservation of Museum Collections at the National Museum of Asian Art of the Smithsonian Institution where she was also a graduate intern. She was the first Andrew W. Mellon Fellow in Objects Conservation and later a project conservator at the Brooklyn Museum from 2008-2012.

Kerith graduated from the Conservation Center of the Institute of Fine Arts, New York University with a Masters Degree in Art History and Advanced Certificate in Conservation, where she now serves as adjunct faculty. She completed her graduate training and internships at the Shelburne Museum, the Field Museum and the Metropolitan Museum of Art. She also participated in the Gulf Coast Recovery Project, assisting with disaster recovery efforts on the Gulf Coast of Mississippi following Hurricane Katrina.

Kerith is a Professional Associate member of the American Institute for Conservation (AIC), a member and former Chair of their Health & Safety Committee and former Chair of the Conservators in Private Practice (CIPP) Specialty Group.
